Maranda runs away with the circus

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (WOTV) Maranda had the chance of a lifetime when she joined Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus on the road in Colorado!

The staff of Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey are on the road for the Circus Xtreme show. They travel together like a family on board a train. Maranda was able to visit the ringmaster’s train car. It’s a small area, but includes a living space, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and laundry area. The circus travels year-round, to 48 cities a year.>>> See Maranda transformed into a clown!

The Circus Xtreme show travels with a staff of about 50 to care for 50 different animals. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey includes animals in its show as an educational aspect to allow people to learn about animals they may never otherwise see. Other opportunities before the show, like the All Access Pre-Show and Animal Open House, provide the experience of seeing some of the animals up close. All elephants that used to work with Ringling Bros. are now retired at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation in Florida.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus Xtreme will be at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids September 29 through October 2. Click here to purchase tickets!
