Prediction: weather will trend warm and dry into spring

Weather Forecasts

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration publishes long-lead seasonal outlooks mid-month.

Their aim is to forecast temperature and preceptation tendencies for the far future.

After considering large-scale influences like El Nino, which is not expected to develop, the temperature outlook for February through April favors above normal temperatures in our region.

Below normal seasonal precipitation is favored in this same time period.
