Heavy rain raises flooding threat Monday

Weather Forecasts

An atmospheric river setup will bring a deluge of rain to Central California Sunday night and Monday morning.

Flooding is a particular concern.

The bulk of precipitation will fall late Sunday and early Monday. Precipitation in mountain areas will be mostly rain because of the warm nature of this system — snow levels will stay above 8,000 feet much of the time.
