Very hot days ahead

Saturday was several degrees below Fresno’s average high temperature of 99 degrees. The mercury reached 96 Saturday afternoon.

Sunday is set to reach 100 degrees. And each day seems to get warmer through the week ahead.

Monsoon storms are possible in the Sierra this week. We use the word monsoon because this time of year they come from the east, and that’s unusual for us. A few may make it over the crest and even into foothill areas, but it’s not possible yet to know exactly when and where.

Temperatures get warmer and warmer through the week ahead. 104, 105 degrees for highs through midweek. 106, 107 degrees next weekend.

Stay cool!
