Atmospheric river to bring an inch of rain to Fresno this weekend

KSEE Weather

A lot of rain will fall in Central California Sunday and Monday.

Flash flooding is a particular concern.

The bulk of precipitation will fall late Sunday and early Monday. Precipitation in mountain areas will be mostly rain because of the warm nature of this system — snow levels will stay above 8,000 feet much of the time.

Showers will also pass early in the day Friday, although with significantly smaller amounts.

This, while temperatures cool into the week ahead.
