Forecasts extending beyond about a week are notorious for being wrong.
But I find it a fun challenge to see how close I can get. It’s fascinating to follow the trends over time and I feel like I get a little bit better each month.
I’m forecasting mild weather this September.
September starts hot. It’s 102 as I write this. A cooling trend begins the first week of September and it doesn’t look like enough heat returns to bring us back into the hundreds. (Thank goodness!) This is supported climatically, as temperatures tend to drop this time of year.
I’m expecting the month to stay dry. We get much of our wet weather through the wintertime, and it’s unusual to get any major systems as early as September. There’s nothing to indicate otherwise.
Have a nice month!
