Milton, McMillan named first team preseason all-state

FRESNO, Calif. – It’s not often a high school football team in the valley gets to play on national television.

But, then again, it’s not often a high school football team in the valley has one of the best players in the country: Kendall Milton.

Milton is a five-star running back who committed to Georgia a little more than three weeks ago. On Saturday night, his future fans in Athens will be able to watch him play on ESPNU.

A few days before then, however, Milton was honored by Cal-Hi Sports. On Thursday, he was named first team preseason all-state.

Kendall Milton is 6’2,” 210 pounds. He had scholarship offers from pretty much everywhere. Eventually, Georgia won out over his other finalists: Alabama, LSU and Ohio State.

Roughly one month before Kendall Milton chose Georgia, Jalen McMillan chose Washington. McMillan, a wide receiver at San Joaquin Memorial, was also named on Thursday to Cal-Hi Sports’ first team preseason all-state.

McMillan is a four-star prospect. Last season, he had more than 1,400 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns.
