FRESNO, Calif. — The Fresno State men’s basketball team delivered a strong effort in defeating the New Mexico Lobos 82-70 on Saturday night at the Save Mart Center.

The win keeps Fresno State (16-5, 7-2 Mountain West) locked in a tie for second place with Utah State (17-5, 7-2 MW), who the Bulldogs will host on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. PT, at the midway point of the conference race. Both the ‘Dogs and Aggies are just one game back of first-place No. 8/7 Nevada (21-1, 8-1 MW).

Fresno State junior forward Nate Grimes matched a season-high with 19 points and added a Save Mart Center-record 19 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season (sixth during MW play and 10th in his career).
