FRESNO, Calif. — After starting out 0-2, the Fresno State Bulldogs record their first win on the season, 34-20 over Sacramento State and improve to 1-2 on the year.

It was a game filled with mistakes such as missed field goals and fumbles, but the Bulldogs settled down and scored 20 points in the 4th quarter to come out on top.

Fresno State senior quarterback Jorge Reyna threw for 312 passing yards and two touchdowns. While senior running back Josh Hokit was the game’s leading rusher with 72 yards on 12 carries. Hokit scored two on the ground, and also had a receiving touchdown in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs will travel to Las Cruces next week to take on the New Mexico State Aggies in their final non-conference game.
