PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Wednesday was the final day of preparation before tomorrow’s 119th U.S. Open Championship gets underway at Pebble Beach.
It offered a chance for Bryson DeChambeau to play nine holes of practice as he continues to work on his game.
DeChambeau has won 5 times worldwide since May of last year, but recently he’s been struggling. Having missed three of his last four cuts.
With Pebble only 170 miles or so from where he was raised in Clovis, this week feels a little bit like “home” for the Clovis East alum.
“I played here a bunch and I know the area really well,” said DeChambeau. “I’m super comfortable. I’ve got my family here, which is fantastic, so a lot of positives this week.”
DeChambeau tees off at 8:02 a.m. PT on Thursday.
