City beats County in annual all-star football game

FRESNO, Calif. – August 26th, 1955 was the date of the first-ever City vs County all-star football game in Fresno.

The County won, 7-6.

64 years later, the game is still being played.

It’s considered to be the longest-running high school all-star game in California that is sanctioned by the NCAA. The County had won the last two in a row in this series before Friday night, when the City prevailed, 15-13.

All proceeds from the City vs County game go straight to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County.
