Woman sentenced for practicing unlicensed dentistry from her Dinuba home

TULARE COUNTY, California - A Dinuba woman was sentenced for practicing dentistry without a license in her home. 

Irma Cardenas, 57, will spend 30 days in jail and 30 days of community service after pleading to one misdemeanor count of practicing dentistry without a license and one misdemeanor count of dissuading a witness.

The Tulare County Sheriff's office was first made aware of Cardenas back in October of 2016, after being dispatched to her home in Dinuba after receiving a report from someone. 

During the investigation, deputies observed a dental chair and numerous dental supplies and equipment in one of her bedrooms, as well as an appointment book.
