Woman found dead in Tollhouse on Monday identified

The woman found dead in a creek in Tollhouse on Monday has been identified.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an injured person in the 27200 block of Burrough North Road.

A resident in the area saw an object in a creek near her home, the Sheriff’s Office said. When she got closer to investigate, she saw it was a body, and she called law enforcement. 

Deputies found Cheryl Ann Raffeo, 59, in the creek. She has been known to frequent both Fresno and Tollhouse, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The cause of death is pending the results of toxicology tests. Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or spoken to Raffeo prior to her death.
