Watch Mercury make rare move past Sun

NASA is monitoring a rare celestial event and are allowing you to see it too.

It’s called a planetary transit. Mercury is passing the sun and will look like a tiny black dot as it makes its way across. Mercury only makes this journey once every 10 years.

The trip lasts for 7.5 hours and you will need binoculars to see.

Or you can see the incredible images and learn more about why scientist study such events at https://www.nasa.gov/transit/.
