Truck explodes outside Burger King

U.S. & World

A truck driver has been injured in an explosion at the drive-thru window of a Burger King restaurant in Arkansas.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. Friday in Beebe.

According to the police, the man driving the pickup had a propane tank in the truck bed. A drive-thru worker told him there was something wrong with the tank and he got out to find it was leaking. It then caught fire.

The driver was taken to the hospital. No one else was injured. The restaurant will be closed for at least two days.
