Man arrested after stabbing priest during a morning service

A brutal attack caught on camera! A man stabbed a priest during a Friday morning service at Montreal’s Saint Joseph’s Oratory.

The diocese of Quebec identified the victim as 77-year-old father Claude Grou {*grew*}.

As you can see on the video Grou was leading the services when the man in a white baseball cap quickly approached the altar.

He then rushed the priest as the victim tried to run away.

it appears Grou was stabbed after the man tackled him.

Churchgoers quickly detained the suspect as the priest stood up on his own after the attack. 

According to the diocese, Grou suffered injuries but he is expected to survive.

The 26-year-old suspect has been arrested. Police have not released his name.

The attack happened during services that were actually aired and live-streamed online around the world.
