Italian company designs a new version of its “standing seats” for passenger planes.

Wait until you see a new airline seat designed in Italy. The “Skyrider Three-Point-Oh” is the newest version of an infamous standing seat.

It looks similar to a bicycle seat, but with back support attached.

The manufacturer says its goal is not to cram more passengers on board but to give them another option, that would be called “ultra-basic economy.”

The company says it’s getting some interest, but no orders yet. The seats currently don’t fit the specifications of some common passengers jets.
