CHESHIRE, England (KSEE/KGPE) – Authorities in England have begun mopping up thousands of gallons of gin after a truck carrying it crashed into another vehicle, causing the liquid to leak out onto a major highway.

Police say it happened on the M6 in Cheshire around 5:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday.

According to Chesire Police, officers made the decision to close the busy highway in both directions around the incident site due to the flammability of the liquid.

Firefighters have started coating the alcohol with foam to stop it from igniting. There are no reports of any injuries.
