Two men arrested for attempting to steal $8,000 worth of property in Visalia, police say

VISALIA, California - Two Visalia men were arrested for attempting to steal thousands of dollars worth of property on Friday, police say.

Visalia police say around 8:12 p.m., officers responded to the 7400 block of West Sunnyview Avenue for reports of a grand theft in progress, a news release says.

Suspects, Adam Parraz, 41, and Ernest Reyes, 52, are said to have stole two 20-foot sign posts, estimating around $8,000.

Police say the theft was witnessed by an employee. Adding, that the men ditched the property then fled the area.

They were soon stoped by Visalia police officers.

Parraz and Reyes, who also had an outstanding warrant, were arrested and booked into Tulare County Jail.
