The two people killed in a crash following a high-speed chase from Lindsay to Porterville on Tuesday have been identified.

Alexia Gonzalez, 23, of Lindsay, and Jose Sanchez, 22, of Strathmore, were both killed after their vehicle crashed into a traffic pole.

Gonzalez was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Sanchez was also ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was taken to Sierra View Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

A third person, Ray Perez, 32, of Lindsay, attempted to flee the scene, but was taken into custody by a bystander, the Lindsay Police Department said. Perez was found to have a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and was in possession of methamphetamine and drug sales paraphernalia.

He was taken to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition, police said.
