Tulare County Sheriff  Mike Boudreaux is announcing a quilt fundraiser for the sheriff’s K9 unit.

A special quilt was made by Delores Murch of Visalia. She took pictures of the department’s dogs and their handlers and had them printed on fabric.

They were then stitched together on a quilt that includes sheriff’s stars and paw prints.

“For her to go out of her way to create a work of art for us is extremely appreciated,” said Sheriff Boudreaux. “The K-9 quilt fundraiser is a first for our department.”

A drawing for the quilt will be held on May 4th.

Tickets are $5, they’re available at TCSO Headquarters on 833 S. Akers St. The drawing will be done at noon on May 4 at the Sierra K-9 Trials at Central Valley Christian High School.

The winner does not need to be present to win.
