A man was arrested after deputies say he killed his neighbor’s dog for urinating on his yard.

23-year-old Modesto Ramos was booked into the Tulare County Jail for animal cruelty causing death, possession of banned assault weapons and negligent discharge of firearm.

The victim told Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies that she noticed her dog was missing from her front yard when she returned home on December 8th.

The victim identified the suspect as her neighbor, Modesto Ramos.

During an investigation, deputies contacted Ramos, he told them he became angry at the victim’s dog for urinating on his yard and vehicle. Deputies say Ramos shot and killed the dog with a rifle and buried it.

Deputies found evidence linking Ramos to the crime. They also found two California banned assault rifles- AR15 and AK47- inside him home.
