Man arrested for trying to meet with child for ‘immoral purposes’

OWOSSO, Mich (WLNS) – An Owosso Police Criminal Investigation led to the arrest of a 31-year-old who was trying to contact a minor using social media to meet for immoral purposes.

Owosso Detectives were able to use social media for the suspect to “meet” the juvenile at a location in Owosso. The suspect arrived at a pre-determined location and was arrested.

Zach Peterson, a resident of Owosso, was arrested for Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.

Peterson was arraigned on the charges on May 10, 2019 and is currently lodged in the Shiawassee County jail.
