Tower rapist goes before parole board today

News

FRESNO-The serial rapist who terrorized Fresno’s Tower district in the early 90’s could make parole today.

Rudolph Acosta has only served 28-years of his 78-year sentence. He’ll go before the parole board in Avenal today. Acosta is eligible under California’s Youthful Offender Program. It offers early release for those who commit crimes when they were younger than 26-years-old.

If he makes parole, Acosta says he wants to live with his nephew in Fresno County.
