U. S. Navy Capt. John Nicholson, Cmdr. Everett Alvarez and Cmdr. Ron Boch took their last photo together, 55 years ago.
They haven’t seen each other since.
The three pilots were stationed out of NAS Lemoore, and base information officers say, Alvarez was shot down over the Gulf of Tonkin.
That was 55 years ago.
Alvarez, a native of Salinas, California, was held captive in Vietnam more than 8 years.
The three men have not seen each other since the photo was taken, but Tuesday, at a commemoration for the 55th anniversary of the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the three will meet again.
