Family of teen swept away in Tule River raises money for funeral expenses

Top Stories

It’s been nearly two weeks since a Porterville teenager was swept away in the Tule River.

Mikey Edes, 16, was hiking with his mother and sister when he fell into the water. Search efforts are still underway in Tulare County, but they’ve yet to find his body.

His family held a bake sale Saturday at Town and Country Market in Porterville to raise money for funeral expenses. They also have a go fund me account. If anyone would like to help they can deposit a check in Mikey Edes name to any Bank of Sierra or donate to Webbs Funeral home Lindsay, California.
