Confirmed: Second tornado touches down in the Central Valley

In the span of two weeks, the second tornado touched down in the Central Valley, according to National Weather Service officials.

The tornado touched down Saturday around 3:55 p.m. in Mariposa County near Ben Hur and Beach Road, eight miles south of the city of Mariposa.

The tornado was classified as an EF0, whereas the tornado from two weeks ago on Jan. 17 was classified as EF1.
