Alligator with knife stuck in head spotted in Texas lake

Top Stories

An alligator with a large knife protruding from it’s head was spotted on lake in Texas, leaving many residents angry.

The injured gator was seen two days this week swimming in Pumpkin Lake in Sugar Land.

The Fort Bend County Game Warden’s Office, said a team found the alligator in the lake on Friday. The reptile may be removed and taken for observation depending on the severity of its injuries.

Photos posted on Facebook by concerned residents showed the knife near the reptile’s eye, and triggered thousands of angry posts from people wondering why anyone would be so cruel as to injure the large reptile, then leave it to swim around wounded.

Game wardens are trying to figure out how to capture the Gator so that it can be given medical attention.
