Three Shot in Southwest Fresno


Police officers are on scene of a shooting at Samson and MLK in southwest Fresno.

They tell us three people were shot early this morning. One of the victims went and knocked on someone’s door to call for help. The other two victims drove themselves to the hospital. All are expected to be okay.

Police say all three victims are associates and are known to be involved in gangs, It is unknown at this time if the shooting itself was gang related. Police say the victims don’t live in this neighborhgood and believe that were just hanging out when they were shot.

Sgt. Alfonso Castillo, with Fresno Police says, “The majority of our evidence is towards the western end of our crime scene. I can tell you I found some ballistic evidence there and some vehicle parts. We’re trying to piece together how that’s involved.”

 Police have no information on suspects at this time. They are canvassing the area, talking to neighbors who may have saw or heard something.
