Chilling new video takes us inside the Camp Fire and reveals the moment a deputy thought would be his last.
This body camera video was released today by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
They say a deputy was driving through Paradise attempting to rescue four people from Feather River Hospital.
The deputy’s patrol car broke down leaving him trapped in an area surrounded by fire. He had to walk out through the fire. Authorities say deputy Aaron Parmley could only see about 10 yards in front of him.
Ultimately, an emergency vehicle drove through the area, and the small group was able to climb on board.
