Temperatures to cool soon

A low pressure system set to cross the northern border of California later this week will help cool temperatures considerably.

Highs still reached into the hundreds Monday in the Central Valley with Fresno reaching 100 degrees in the late afternoon. 99 degrees is Fresno’s average high right now but will drop to 98 in a couple days marking the end of the time of year we average our warmest temperatures.

Tuesday will be hot. Expect highs in the hundreds with Fresno reaching 103 degrees. However, Tuesday may be the last day in the hundreds for some time. Expect highs just under the triple digit mark on Wednesday with considerable cooling Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday’s high will reach just 91 degrees!
