Teen arrested after threatening a school shooting

News

A teenager has been arrested in connection to a shooting threat at a Merced county elementary school.

Merced County Sheriff’s Deputies announced the arrest of a 13-year-old boy who allegedly made several threats to shoot up Le Grand Elementary.

The sheriff’s office says the threats were made in the span of several months, and as recent as last Thursday.

The boy has been booked into the Iris Garrett Juvenile Center on felony charges for threats.

Because he’s a minor, authorities are not releasing his name.
