It’s a video going viral. A man in a north Fresno parking lot, using racially charged remarks and profanity.
The target of those words is a delivery man does not want to be identified but he provided the video to Your Central Valley.
He says he was trying to be professional on the job before he says a man attacked him with racial slurs
“Get em’ out here as soon as possible. I’m in a hurry. Stupid, (expletive) man. You pay attention. You’re driving aren’t ya?,” said the man seen on video.
Video of a man at the Villagio in the River Park area, visibly upset. The person who was subjected to this says he recorded the video after an alleged fender bender. He says he was working, making a shipment delivery to Barnes and Noble when he was confronted.
“And I look under and (I said) ‘I didn’t hit you. I said we’re close. It’s two inches away from the car and the trailer,'” said the delivery man over the phone.
Then he says he got an offensive response he wasn’t ready for.
“I ought to ship your (expletive) back home wherever you’re from,” said the man on video.
“Excuse me, I’m American just as much as you,” replied the delivery man.
“Oh, (expletive) you. You ain’t no American,” said the man on video.
The delivery man says he continued to record in case the situation escalated.
“I’m gonna protect myself because it’s not right what he’s saying. I thought he was gonna get a gun, tell you the truth,” said the delivery man.
The man on video was allegedly calling the police, demanding officers to arrive.
“Well, it’s a stupid (expletive) Mexican. They don’t know how to drive anyway,” said the man on video.
“You a racist or what?,” asked the delivery man.
“I’m a racist against you stupid (expletive, expletive),” replied the man.
The delivery man says he’s never experienced such heated racism ever before.
“I was not like upset. I was like hurting,” said the delivery man over the phone.
He says he did his best to keep his composure as the man seen on video tried to intimidate him.
“Maybe because he put his face on me like five, six times, almost spitting on me,” said the delivery man.
CBS 47 and KSEE 24 did reach out to the man who’s being identified on social media as the one responsible for the racial slurs. His name is Dan Kuehne and he did not respond but a Facebook page that appears to belong to that man contained this posted apology on video.
“I let my emotions get the better of me and there’s no excuse for that, regardless of what caused the incident or things that were said outside of the filming of that incident. The things I said were wrong and I apologize to any and all who were justifiably offended by my conduct.”
