A man 28-year-old man will face murder charges, after he was linked by Visalia Police to a 2015 murder in Visalia.
According to a statement by Visalia Police, detectives interviewed Ricardo Reyes at Tulare County Jail, where he was in custody for unrelated charges. The statement said Reyes was booked on additional charges, after the interview.
According to the statement, Visalia Police officers were sent to the 2000 block of N. Jacob Street, shortly before 1:45 P.M. on March 5, 2015, for reports of shots fired.
Once officers arrived, Police said they located the victim, identified as Manuel Gonzalez, inside of a home. Gonzalez was taken to an area hospital, according to police, and died from his injuries.
According to Visalia Police, a subsequent investigation identified Reyes as one of the suspects involved. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Visalia Police.
