A suspect has been arrested in Sunday’s fatal stabbing near a Carl’s Jr. in downtown Fresno, the Fresno Police Department said Monday.

The victim, identified as Sirvon Beasley, was found on the sidewalk outside the fast food restaurant stabbed in the upper body.

Around a dozen people inside Carl’s Jr. saw the Beasley go inside and try to buy food. He didn’t have enough money, so he left the restaurant.

Witnesses led police to Arthur Hayes, 57, who was arrested in the case, police said.

No other information was immediately available.
