Strong winds, light rain cross Central California

The cold front passing through Central California brought some light showers to the Valley.

Light amounts have fallen from Los Banos to Merced and Atwater.

The band of showers is fizzling out but will bring some sprinkles to Madera and perhaps Fresno as it continues to push south through the valley.

In the 3:00 hour, a small but moderately intense area of rain in Mariposa set soon to move over Yosemite.

Strong winds are ahead of this front. The dust generated from these winds even show up as this light arc on radar.

Winds are strongest in the mountains.

A high wind warning is in effect until 9:00 PM.
