Special Election for Fresno’s District 2 seat happening today

FRESNO, California – A vacant Fresno City Council seat will soon be filled.

Five candidates are battling it out for the open spot in District Two.

6 candidates will be on today’s ballot, but one of them is no longer is the race.

Phil Arballo dropped out to run against Congressman Devin Nunes but the ballots were already printed.

The other candidates include small business owner Mike Karbassi, attorney Jared Gordon, President and CEO of Ameriguard Lawrence Garcia, special needs therapist Oscar Sandoval and attorney George Herman.

The County Clerk Election’s office will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
