Searchers locate 2 more victims of plane crash in Tehachapi mountains


The Kern County Sheriff’s Office says it has located all three victims of a plane crash in the Tehachapi mountains after locating remains of two more people Sunday.

A twin-engine Beechcraft took off from San Luis Obispo and was headed to Los Angeles on Thursday when the plane was lost over Kern County. The sheriff’s office received reports of a downed aircraft at around 10:30 p.m.

Search crews reached the remote crash site Saturday. Wreckage of the plane was buried under five of snow.

The victims’ identities have not been confirmed.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
