Fresno Police are looking for a man, in connection to a stabbing incident Monday.
According to a statement by Fresno Police, Southeast patrol officers were sent to a gas station on the 2500 block of S, Maple Avenue, at 8:06 A.M. When officers arrived, police said they found a victim in his 40s, with stab wounds to his abdomen.
The victim is described by Fresno Police as a Bulldog gang member. Police also said the victim was not very cooperative with officers.
Police officers were reportedly able to determine that the victim was riding his bicycle, on the south side of a small laundromat that is in the same lot as the gas station. The victim, according to police, was approached by the suspect, who asked the victim if the bicycle was for sale.
Police said when the victim tells the suspect the bicycle was not for sale, the suspect allegedly grabbed the victim’s bicycle, and tried to pull it away. The victim and the suspect, according to police, struggled for the bicycle, and the suspect later removed a folding knife from his pocket, and stabbed the victim in tyhe abdomen repeatedly.
Police said the suspect then fled west on Jensen, without the bicycle The victim was reportedly taken to CRMC, and police said his wounds are not life threatening.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult in his 30s, six feet in height with a medium build, and last seen wearing a jacket of unknown color. Police said the victim does not know the suspect.
The suspect is wanted for attempted robbery, as well as assault with a deadly weapon.
