Save Mart stores taking donations for Detwiler Fire relief effort

Save Mart Supermarkets has launched a fundraiser to help in relief efforts for those affected by the Detwiler Fire in Mariposa County.

Save Mart launched the fundraiser for the American Red Cross on Friday, and 32 stores are participating.

Save Mart is taking donations at stores in Angels Camp, Atwater, Ceres, Chowchilla, Clovis, Jackson, Fresno, Los Banos, Madera, Merced, Modesto, Oakdale, Patterson, Riverbank, Sonora, and Turlock.

Shoppers can donate any amount they wish at checkout, the company said. The donation will appear on a printed receipt so shoppers have a record for tax purposes.
