CLOVIS, Calif. — Christmas carols and big crowds in Clovis to kick off the Christmas season.
“The Christmas spirit is really alive here and that is so great,” said Alvin Wendt.
“Definitely gets us in the Christmas spirit doesn’t it girls,” said Melissa Sweeney.
All the music and Christmas cheer brought a special someone to the party.
“I told people that you come here to city of Clovis first because it is your favorite city in all of the world.”
Santa took time out of his busy Christmas show the city of Clovis what Christmas is all about.
“Santa he was pretty fun, it was exciting for him to be here.”
Santa’s helpers were there too.
“When it is Christmas time you get to hang out with Santa.”
“You make a costume then you wear it and you get to light up with Santa,”
They all counted down to light Clovis’ Christmas tree and just like that.. santa flipped the switch and it was Christmas time in Clovis.
“My favorite part was when they turned on the tree.”
The special event helped remind people what this time of year is all about.
“Music giving and then getting but that is not the most important thing,” said Ezekiel Diaz.
