Gubernatorial Candidate Gavin Newsom is in Fresno holding a town hall meeting hosted by the General Teamsters Union. Several protesters have gathered.
Few republicans followed Newsom’s bus into the venue, they were met with some supporters.
One protester with ‘Fight Sanctuary State’ tells us it is a shame Newsom was invited to Fresno. He says Newsom is a proponent of the sanctuary policy that got Kate Steinle killed.
Protesters trying to attend the town hall were told to leave; police did show up shortly.
During the town hall Newsom answered many questions, including his support for universal healthcare, the need for gun reform and the economy.
This his 3rd town hall in Fresno. After this he will head to Stockton where he will be holding another town hall meeting.
