Police searching for ‘businessman burglar’ targeting Central Valley neighborhoods

News

A man dubbed as the businessman burglar is terrorizing neighborhoods, breaking into several vehicles and garages across the Central Valley.

“It looks like he just got off work. So it’s business casual type clothes, slacks with a nice shoes and nice collar shirt which is not common in vehicle burglars when we contact them typically,” Sergeant Jim Munro, Clovis Police Department said.

Munro said they believe the suspect might be connected to four vehicle burglaries which happened from December to February.

“He’s going out in the middle of the night and everybody is sleeping and breaking into cars. He’s looking for easy targets for cars that are open,” he said.

Surveillance video shows the suspect driving a Dodge van, he pulls up to the home, get out of the vehicle with a flashlight in his hand and starts looking inside.
Another video from a Reedley home show the same suspect breaking into an SUV.

Investigators confirm the suspect has hit neighborhoods in Clovis, Fresno, Reedley and Visalia.

The most recent burglary took place earlier this month in a Northeast Fresno neighborhood, where three vehicles and two garages were hit by the businessman burglar.

Visalia Police confirmed to Your Central Valley that the same suspect is connected to a series of burglaries in the south valley.

“It looks like this gentleman traveling up and down the Valley and we’d like to find him, ” Munro said.

If you have any information you’re asked to contact Clovis, Reedley or Fresno Police.
