Police Search for Suspect Caught on Surveillance Throwing Trash Can, Attempting To Car Jack

Fresno, Calif. – Police say the suspect captured in this surveillance footage jumped onto an rode on the side of a semi truck on Jensen in order to get away from a good Samaritan who was trying to detain him.

Police said, there was an attempted carjacking at the 76 gas station at 2585 S East ave in southwest Fresno. Police say the victim was pumping gas when the suspect was able to steal the victims keys, which were on a lanyard in the victim’s pocket. 

Sergeant Brian Valles said, the suspect tried to take the victims car, the victim was able to pull the suspect out of the driver’s seat.

After a short struggle the suspect fled the location when other people intervened and chased the suspect. The man jumped onto an rode on the side of a semi truck on Jensen in order to get away

The suspect is described as a white male adult in his late 40s about 5’8” to 5’10” tall about 165 lbs with blonde or grey hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
