Police release body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting

FULLERTON, California – (CNN) Police in Fullerton, California released body camera footage Friday of an officer-involved shooting that resulted in 17-year old Hannah Williams dying.

We must warn you the video you’re about to see is disturbing.

Fullerton police say Hannah Williams confronted the officer in a “shooting stance with both arms in front of her pointing a gun directly at the officer.”

Police say the video shows Williams holding the handgun.

An officer can then be heard on the video saying “it’s a replica.”

Hannah later died at the hospital.

Police also released the audio from a 9-1-1 call placed by Williams father indicating that she had “taken their rental car, had been missing for about 3 hours and may have wanted to harm herself.”

The Williams family met with police Friday to view the video and were given details of the investigation.
