Police arrested suspected DUI driver in southeast Fresno

Fresno Police arrested a suspected DUI driver near Hampton and Armstrong in southeast Fresno.

Police said a 25 year old unlicensed driver was arrested for DUI sunday morning around 10 a.m.

Fresno police said an officer was driving in the area of Shields and Armstrong and observed a car run a red light and hit a car. 

Police said they stopped the car a few blocks away at Hampton and Armstrong and contacted the driver and said he was obviously DUI. 

Police responded to the accident and found damage to the cars. The suspect did a breath test and was cited and his car was towed. A sober driver picked him up.
