Officials with Walmart said more than 6,900 of its Store Associates in the Fresno area will get a pay raise.

According to a statement, the increase, which starts with their paycheck on March 10, is part of a a $2.7 Billion investment by the store. In addition, over 79,000 Walmart workers across the state will also receive a pay raise.

According to the statement, all store associates hired before New Year’s Day 2016 will earn at least $10, per hour. New hires after New Year’s Day will become eligible for quarterly cash bonuses, annual pay increases, and promotion opportunities after completing Walmart’s new retail skills and training program.

In addition, store associates earning more than $10 will reportedly see their annual pay increase in March, instead of on their anniversary date of hire, and associates at or above their pay band maximum will reportedly receive a one-time lump sum payment, which equals to 2% of their annual pay.
