FRESNO, California - Over a thousand people in northwest Fresno were without power Monday night after a car crashed into a power pole, knocking out power in the surrounding area.
The power outage effected roughly 1,121 customers, according to PG&E.
Officials say a car struck a power pole near Ashlan and Blythe ave. around 9:30p.m. Witnesses say at one point the crash caused a small fire, luckily no one was injured. Police tell us the driver of the car was arrested for DUI.
Power was restored around 10:20p.m.
