Fresno, California - Fresno police say they are investigating a shooting in northwest Fresno.
Officials say just before 9:00 p.m. officers responded to the area of Marks and Dakota regarding a shooting.
Police say the suspect knocked on an apartment door, there was an argument and then fired three shots at the two victims.
The victims are both in their 40's and were shot in their upper torsos. One victim is in critical condition and is undergoing surgery, the other victim is in stable condition.
"I was told our special response teams were here all afternoon due to shooting yesterday but they left to go answer other calls and then we received this shooting it is unfortunate they just left prior to the shooting an hour before," said Lt. Gerardo Chamalbide with the Fresno Police Department.
Police continue to search for the suspect.
This is the second shooting to happen this week at the apartment complex. On Sunday night a 19-year-old girl was shot outside of her apartment after a disturbance. Fresno police say last night's shooting was gang related.
Several families who live in the complex say it might be time to move.
