The community came together at the Fresno Buddhist Temple for the annual Obon Festival Saturday.
There was no shortage of food, and afterward, there was a dance under the lanterns.
“The Obon is an opportunity to remember those individuals and family members that have passed on and all the things they’ve done for us as individuals and so forth and to memorialize them and we celebrate by having a fun time and a dance, yes,” said festival chairman Gordon Misaki.
The festival has been going strong for 74 years!
